Toshiba Information Assurance

The Data Protection Act requires anyone who handles personal information to comply with a number of important principles. It also gives individuals rights over their own personal information.

There are five key principles, essential for safe electronic transactions:

  • Confidentiality – keeping information private
  • Integrity – ensuring information has not been tampered with
  • Authentication – confirming the identity of the individual who
    undertook the transaction
  • Non-repudiation – the individual who undertook the transaction cannot subsequently deny it
  • Availability – ensuring information is available when required

At Toshiba we understand Information Assurance (IA) is about meeting these principles. We have created bespoke laptops with increased security features and work closely with our security partners to deliver piece of mind to our customers.
