Go mission critical with a FREE Integrity Blades Starter Kit
What’s the deal?
HP is providing a new incredible incentive for Sun and IBM customers to give Integrity a try. We are offering new customers a free blade starter kit. This FREE hardware solution includes; HP Integrity BL860c server blade with a dual-core Itanium processor or HP Integrity BL860c i2 with a quad-core Itanium processor, in a c7000 enclosure complete with power supplies, fans and an Ethernet pass-thru module.
What’s the advantage?
Customers focused on mission-critical computing have two choices – HP-UX or IBM AIX. Once they decide, they probably won't change again for ten years.
We want to encourage customers to test drive HP-UX – which provides more built-in automation and virtualization with a better management suite. Our FREE Integrity Blades Starter Kit can be a big incentive for IBM and Sun customers—who are now deciding on the future of their mission-critical environment.
They can use this as a test/development environment and once they see how well HP-UX performs, they can fill up their blade enclosure as they move into a production environment.
Who’s the target?
Sun and IBM customers - the largest opportunity is most likely with commercial and SMB accounts as our current G1K are for the most part HP customers.
When can we start?
Immediately, this offer is available worldwide until 29th April 2011.
One free HP Integrity Blade Starter Kit for each new customer that purchases licenses for HP-UX 11i v3 (VSE-OE, HA-OE or DC-OE) with support (recommend 3-year Support Plus 24 and Installation & Startup service).
Terms and conditions:
The free Blade Starter Kit comes in the way of a credit product number (AM348AS) equivalent to the list price of one HP c7000 enclosure, one power module, four power supplies and four fans, one Ethernet pass-through module and one HP Integrity BL860c server blade with a dual-core Itanium processor or HP Integrity BL860c i2 with a quad-core Itanium processor.
To qualify for this offer, a customer may not have purchased any of the following in the three years prior to offer redemption, as demonstrated by invoice history and service contracts: HP 9000 servers, HP AlphaServer, HP NonStop servers, HP Integrity servers, and the HP ProLiant DL785 server.
Each qualifying customer will receive a credit in the amount of the product combination list price for the Blade Starter Kit when the customer places the initial qualifying order for HP-UX licenses and support as described above. The credit amount may be applied to alternative HP Integrity server blade configurations, which may differ from the Blades Starter Kit configuration offered under this promotion, at the choice of the qualifying customer. Any discounts applied to the purchase of the HP-UX licenses and support will be applied as a reduction to the credit amount.
To receive the credit for the free Integrity blades free starter kit, you must order the credit product number AM348AS. Ordering the credit product number will fire an ‘Unbuildable Error’ requiring a FAN override approval from one of the regional contacts listed below.
The offer is valid through to 29th April 2011 and limited to one Blade Starter Kit per qualifying new customer.
